Following nearly two decades of successful conferences in Japan, China, and Europe, and a successful debut in Bangkok, Thailand, SAMPE hosted the 2010 SAMPE Asia Conference will take place 19-20 January 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Approximately 55 technical papers were given in two consecutive sessions during the two days. Technical presentations covered technology within two tracks, advanced composites technology and traditional (FRP) composites. These presentations represented the depth of emerging composites technologies within the surrounding region. The conference also featured six plenary presentations by speakers from Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Korea, Japan and China.
